The global health economic impact of HIV/AIDS
is enormous and beyond neglect. The touch of it is felt far away and
very near, indeed it is right with us and until we wake up to this
reality and approach it as an ‘enemy within’, it’s subtle, quiet growth
in leaps and bounds might or will soon present to us a terrific monster
capable of maiming whole people groups, cultures and economic
communities with their potential and though gradually, but indeed, whole
civilizations would be consumed by it.
As we speak presently, we do not know of any authentic cure that is
approved and made available to the public. But to simply sit back and
hope for a medical cure while under utilizing the available remedies or
delaying in harnessing and appropriating the wealth of information and
experience available could be tantamount to having a time bomb ticking
down to detonation right in our vicinity and yes, it is only a matter of
time!
